Pick-up package Panama City - Bocas
In order to easily get from Panama City to your accommodation of choice in Bocas, you can make use of our pick-up package which means you will be welcomed by a taxi driver carrying a sign with your name, at the International Airport (Tocumen ). He will then take you to the hotel that we use in Panama City (La Casa de Carmen), where you will have a private room, breakfast and internet use. Next morning or afternoon you will be taken from the hotel to the other, (Domestic) Airport, called Albrook for your one hour flight to Bocas del Toro. At the Airport of Bocas, there will be another taxi driver waiting to take you to your accommodation and show you around town. Afterwards, you will be brought to the school where a representative of the school will give you information about the school. The pick-up package includes all taxi trips, one night at the hotel, the domestic flight and the pick-up in Bocas.
Pick-up Bocas: At the Airport of Bocas, a taxi driver carrying a sign of the school, will be waiting for you and will take you to you to your accommodation of choice and will show you around town. Afterwards, you will be brought to the school where a representative of the school will give you information about the school.
School stay If you like to be independent, yet share with fellow students, we recommend staying at the school. We have 3 rooms that can be shared by 2 students and one room to be shared by 3 students, but if you don't mind paying a little more you can have your private room. The bathrooms are always shared. We also have a shared kitchen to your disposal and a communal space where students can study, chat or watch TV together. Furthermore, we offer a continental breakfast for $2.50.
Bed & Breakfast with a local family Living with a local family is a unique experience that will provide you with the opportunity to not only learn the language but also learn more about the culture. The rooms are private and have shared bathrooms. Home stays include breakfast. Breakfast is typical Panamanian, nevertheless the family can adapt a little upon request (e.g. considering your diet). If you don't use any of our pick-up services, you need to call or write us to let us know at what time you will arrive at the school in Bocas, so we can make sure your family is there to welcome you at the school and take you to their home.
Private apartment Our apartment is located near the Airport. It might be noisy sometimes, but the airport is small and there are no night time flights. There are three bedrooms. Each bedroom has a double bed. There is a living area with easy chairs, a tv and a desk where you can do your homework. There are ventilators in each bedroom. The kitchen is fully equipped and has a dining table. In the back of the house is a small patio with a washing basin, to hand wash some clothes. The shower in the bathroom has hot water. It is 15 minutes walking from the apartment to the school.
Hotel stay There are various hotels in Bocas to choose from. Most are all at walking distance from the school. You can make arrangements yourself or ask us to help you.
