Spanish by the river is a really fun school! The environment is great for learning and the teachers are nice and helpful! I loved getting to know the other students and meeting local people from the town of Turrialba. Volunteering at the local primary school was a lot of fun and the excursions were great. Spanish at the river is a great place to relax, learn and to enjoy a vacation! Thanks for a great time in Costa Rica. Pura Vida!

It was may 1st when we arrived, it rained, the town was too quiet. We were not so sure... but they convinced us to stay and here we are, after a week of learning Spanish and discovering the underwater world of Bocas del Toro under an amazing tropical sun and so beautiful faces.......We're glad, so glad we stayed. Now we have to leave, but we keep a sweet memory of this little Caribbean paradise and it's people. Thanks a lot, muchas gracias!

Sin palabras! Last year we studied in the Turrialba banch of Spanish by the river and we enjoyed ourselves there in Costa Rica. This year the school owner+director Ingrid (Ins), recommended we come to Boquete and were glad we did. Our experience here has been superb. Our teachers Avelina and Christian are highly skilled educators. Their technique is professional and they truly teach from the heart. Both of us made good progress. Hard to believe we accomplished so much in just the 2 weeks we were here. We are grateful to them!!! Thanks to Maribel + Odoray who made us feel welcome and at home as we lived in the school quarter. By the way, accommodations are ´super bien´. We will miss those two ladies, our resident geckos and Pepe the parrot. Our experience has been a lovely blend of all the right ingredients. At the beginning I only wanted to stay a couple of days. But eventually I stayed almost 2 weeks in this great school! I really appreciated staying here, especially for the nice people. There was quite a lot to do here. For example, the white water rafting was great! And the Aquiares waterfall, you can’t miss it! But next to all the adventures there was also time to relax in a hammock with a great view! Thank you Spanish by the river!
